Prelude: The days before I left on my journey

In August of 2001, I created a homepage called Connected Japan (see below for background on that). There, I posted my Prospectus material and some information on pilgrimage (see below for that, too).

Then, in the last few days prior to walking (namely September 2, 3, and 4) I started posting. Sunday, September 2, was the official "kickoff"; and for the next couple of days I did some jittery whining before I actually stepped out on September 5th.
